Abstract

In recent years, re-usable learning objects have gained popularity as the primary mechanism for organizing e-learning content. However, little has been said about the "stability" of these objects. Much more so than software, "content" has a problem of obsolescence as information about what needs to be learnt changes rapidly. In this paper we present some preliminary thoughts on how concepts from software stability can be applied to design more stable re-usable learning objects.
