VoIP applications have grown rapidly and continue
to enjoy exponential growth due to largely reduced
cost and wider range of advanced services, as
compared to traditional telephone network., however,
they face many technical challenges. One of major
challenges is the provision of Quality of Service.
Presently, VoIP quality is not as good as achieved in
traditional telephone networks due to the data loss and
delay in IP networks. In this paper, a perceptual
quality-driven scheduling scheme is proposed.
Simulation experiments results show that it
significantly increases the quality of voice traffic
transmission over IP network yielding QoS satisfaction
both for VoIP users and service providers.
