The computer gaming technology presents itself as an important supporting strategy to new forms of teaching and learning, and can be applied in the various areas of knowledge, particularly in teaching Mathematics. This study will present the results obtained regarding the research about using the computer game NumerAmigos® in the teaching/learning of elementary algebra when transitioning from the arithmetic reasoning to the algebraic reasoning.
