The approach presented in this paper is intended for the semi-automatic construction of a learning object repository from HTML pages. An extraction method consists of applying the extraction patterns defined in a configuration file, and using a pre-defined ontology, tries also to discover partially matched objects and to assign them proper tags conformed to an XML schema.
