Abstract
Aim of this paper is present the FID (Interactive Distance Learning) e-learning project promoted by a division of the Italian Ministry of Justice (URSIA) responsible for the National Justice IT Infrastructure and Policy. The project purpose is to perform a long-life learning platform based on web technology to train legal content to the Ministry employees. The paper would like to remark the benefits and the obstacles encountered in the project for supporting the Ministry to build on-line courses timely, effectively and in line with the rapid and frequent transformations of the public administration domain. Finally the paper provides some considerations about long-life process in the e-government environment, where an holistic approach is a key factor for a pervasive and relevant success of the e-learning system.
