Abstract
Wireless transmission systems are constrained by several parameters such as the available spectrum bandwidth, the mobile battery energy, the transmission channel impairments, the transmission power and etc. In this paper, we investigate new strategy that aim at improving the allocation of resources in an OFDMA cooperative network comprise of multi source-destination pairs and multiple relays. Assuming knowledge of the instantaneous channel gains for all links in the entire network, we propose several fairness criteria aiming at providing attractive trade-offs between network life-time and users' outage probabilities under users' target rates, maximum power and battery energy constraints. Simulation results show that the proposed resource allocation algorithm achieve good trade-off between the network life-time and user's outage.
